Grasping something new 🆕^⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠^

                    

 Samtse college of education was founded by our third Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji wangchuck on 29th May 1968 as Teacher Training institute with 41 students and few teacher educators. Samtse college of education provides values and the curriculum activities which are beneficial for the students. I feel happy to be the part of samtse college of education and I find the modules of my course are interesting. This module really helps us in developing our critical thinking and skills. The environment of samtse college attracts the mind of students in their learning. Coming to this college I have started reading books as we get an opportunity to read at least 20 minutes in our EAP class. 

Different tutors have different pedagogy. For my module, English for academic purposes, I learned many things from that last class. After the end of the lesson, I was able to know about the academic English and general English which mainly focuses on differences, characteristics and importance of academic and general English. Firstly, one of the interesting activities I came across was the raise hand activity which was very interesting as we are asked to select our peer for the discussion by raising our right hand. During this activity I was able to talk with different members from different group. I was able to connect with other members especially with Dema lhamo and we discussed about the importance of academic English.

Mostly, group activities are the most interactive activities which lend a helping hand in our learning.  We feel a sense of preparedness when we are provided with group tasks for the next coming day. These things make it easy to understand the topics that I learn because it's easy to understand when our friends explain as we are more comfortable with each other. It also has boosted my confidence to speak more and interact with class. Secondly, when madam throws questions at us, I feel the urge to stand up and grab the opportunity to answer and this gives me satisfaction in my learning.

According to Elin Nordegren education is one thing no One can take away from you. Thus, the magnitude of the importance of education in life is huge as well as many.
